Several weeks ago I called multiple PIs in the area to inquire about PI services to support a potential lawsuit. Only one of the PIs I tried to reach actually answered the phone and the only one who did was Charlie, who personally answered my call. During the conversation, Charlie thoughtfully listened to the circumstances I described and gave me solid advice regarding how best to proceed. Spoke to Charlie himself he was very helpful. I figured i would speak to a receptionist who would take my number but no it was him. Charlie is very nice and understanding. What a Forensic Examination Covers
Work includes examination of personal or corporate machines, recovery of lost or deleted data, review of individual PCs and networks, hacking and malware investigation, and family cases where a shared device is central. We work only where there is lawful authority to examine a device - consent, ownership, or a court order. An examination conducted without it produces evidence that will not be admitted and exposes the client to liability.
Chain of Custody
Digital evidence is challenged more often than any other kind, usually on handling rather than content. We document what was received, when, in what condition, and what was done to it, so the finding survives that challenge. Where a matter is heading for litigation we produce a report written for counsel rather than a raw data dump.
